2024 Scholarships Awarded

CentraCom is thrilled to announce the recipients of six prestigious scholarships to high school seniors in our service areas. Each scholarship, valued at up to $2000, signifies our commitment to supporting the education endeavors of promising high school students. We congratulate the following individuals selected for this honor and wish them continued success in their academic pursuits.

Hannah Rock - Juab High School

Hannah boasts an impressive 3.98 GPA and is a runner-up for the Sterling Scholar award in social science. Her success extends to the realm of speech and debate, where she clinched second place at Extemp Region. Engaged in student government and numerous community service initiatives, including raising money for Sub-for-Santa and the Juab and Millard County Justice Department, Hannah exemplifies dedication and compassion. Her altruistic endeavors extend globally, having traveled abroad to build homes for the underprivileged. With aspirations in the medical field, Hannah Rock stands as a shining example of academic excellence and service to others.

Sara Jane Hill - Gunnison Valley High School

Sara Jane is an academic standout from GVHS with an impressive 3.99 GPA. Not only is she a published author, but she’s also earned the prestigious title of GVHS English Sterling Scholar and received the Freedoms Foundation Scholarship. Sara Jane’s talents extend beyond the classroom as she lettered in Drill, Girls Golf, and Track, showcasing her versatility and dedication to extracurricular activities. Beyond her academic and athletic achievements, Sara Jane’s commitment to service is evident in her travels to Lahaina, HI, where she worked with Habitat for Humanity, contributing to community development efforts. Sara Jane aspires to become a teacher, where her talents and dedication will undoubtedly inspire future generationsAcademic All-State and Honor Society awards. Kyson was said to have a strong work ethic and is a great role model. Kyson will attend Snow College.

Dallin A. Richins - Delta High School

Dallin A. Richins of Delta High School excels in various domains. As the Central Utah Regional Visual Arts Sterling Scholar runner-up, he showcases his artistic talent. Dallin's achievements extend to athletics, where he's recognized as Academic All-State in football and cross-country. His commitment to service, evidenced by over 175 hours of volunteer work and recognition with the silver Presidential Service Award, reflects his dedication to community betterment. Dallin's leadership roles in Utah Boys State and student government underscore his civic engagement. Additionally, his pursuit of a Business Entrepreneurship certificate highlights his entrepreneurial drive. Dallin A. Richins is a well-rounded scholar poised for success in various endeavors.

Jaxon Anderson - Manti High

Jaxon Anderson, from Manti High School, boasts a commendable GPA of 3.89 and excels in various areas. As a State FFA Officer and Ag Science Sterling Scholar, he demonstrates his passion and expertise in agriculture.

Jaxon's involvement in extracurricular activities is equally impressive, ranging from sports to community service. He contributes to his school's football and shotgun teams and serves on the seminary council, showcasing his commitment to athletic and spiritual growth. Moreover, Jaxon's dedication to his community is exemplified through his role as a Sterling City Volunteer Firefighter, where he selflessly serves and protects others. Additionally, his skills as an auctioneer further highlight his versatility and leadership. Jaxon Anderson embodies the qualities of a well-rounded scholar, blending academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to service.

Jeremiah C. Jones - North Sanpete High School

Jeremiah C. Jones is a standout scholar with a perfect GPA of 4.0. He's excelled academically and has been recognized as an Academic All-State/Region in his endeavors. His leadership extends beyond the classroom. He is the Vice President of the Stem Club and serves as Team Captain for both the Cross Country and Track teams, demonstrating his commitment to both academic and athletic pursuits. Jeremiah's dedication to service is truly remarkable. As an Eagle Scout, he embodies the values of leadership and community engagement. His initiative in collecting over 2500 pounds of food for the Sanpete Pantry showcases his commitment to addressing local needs. Moreover, Jeremiah's generosity shines through his efforts to bring joy to children in Sanpete County. Winning a $1000 shopping spree to buy toys for them reflects his compassion and desire to impact his community positively. Jeremiah C. Jones is a scholar, athlete, and compassionate leader dedicated to serving others.

Paeton Johnson - North Sanpete High School

Meet Paeton Johnson, a shining star from North Sanpete High School, boasting a commendable GPA of 3.9. Paeton's academic prowess is evident through her receipt of Math and Speech and Debate Excellence Awards, highlighting her dedication to both analytical and communicative skills. But Paeton isn't just a scholar; she's also a force to be reckoned with on the sports field. As the Defensive MVP in softball and recipient of awards in both volleyball and softball, her athletic talent is undeniable. Beyond her academic and athletic achievements, Paeton's involvement in her community as Miss Fountain Green Attendant showcases her commitment to service and leadership. With a heart for teaching, Paeton aspires to become an elementary school teacher. Her passion for education and nurturing spirit will undoubtedly inspire and impact the lives of young learners. Paeton Johnson exemplifies the qualities of a well-rounded individual, poised for academic success and in her future career as an educator.
