CentraCom announces the winners of five $2000 scholarships to Snow College and one $750 scholarship to Utah Valley University. We received many applications from highly qualified candidates from each of our service areas. The following winners were picked from those applicants.
Logan Hansen
Logan Hansen is a graduate of South Sevier High School. Logan has a GPA of 3.92. He has participated in the National Honors Society, Best Buddies Club, and Future Business Leaders of America where he has won many competitions. Logan plans to go to Snow College where we will begin his education in search of a degree in Finance. Logan has the lofty goal of achieving his degree free from student loan debt.
Hannah Holden
Hannah Holden will be graduating from Juab High School as the Valedictorian of her Senior Class with a GPA of 4.0. She has been involved in Student Government, Superintendent Leadership League Student Panel, and Especially for Athletes. Hannah plans to attend Snow College to get her Associate of Science degree and hopes to continue her education in Nursing and eventually obtain a Masters Degree.
Thomas Jones
Thomas Jones is graduating from North Sanpete High School with a GPA of 4.0 and an impressive ACT composite score of 30. He has been involved in Academic All-State, Academic All-Region, National Honor Society, Math Club, Cybercorps, and participated in Snow College Math Competition. After school Thomas will be serving a mission in Chicago, Illinois for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints upon his return he will use his scholarship at Utah Valley University to get his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
Raelynn Mineer
Raelynn Mineer is graduating from North Sanpete High School with a GPA of 3.69. While in high school she has been on Student Council, Captain of Cheer Team, and Seminary Council. Raelynn has overcome difficult challenges to succeed. She will complete her Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in May of 2020 and her Advanced license in Fall 2020 before continuing her education starting at Snow College. She then hopes to be accepted into a medical program.
Berkley Peterson
Berkley Peterson is graduating from Gunnison Valley High School as the Valedictorian of her Senior class. She was awarded Regional Sterling Scholar in Trade and Tech. She was awarded Academic All-State in Basketball and Tennis and placed 2nd in Utah State 3A Tennis Championships. Berkley has a 4.0 GPA and will be graduating from high school with 15 earned credits from Snow College. She plans on using her $2,000 scholarship to achieve her Associate of Science Degree at Snow College.
Ashlee Robbins
Ashlee Robbins is graduating from Payson High School with a GPA of 3.99 where she took advanced classes. Ashlee is actively engaged in community service in her hometown as well as worldwide. She is excited to be the first of her family to attend college. She will be continuing her education at Snow College in the Fall.
