Building a Mesh Network

A Mesh network is a series of small radio extenders that are strategically placed in your home to extend your router’s signal. These extenders boost and extend your Wi-Fi signal, they act as extra access points throughout your home so you can have the same great internet experience no matter where you are.

Extending Wi-Fi to Your Yard

Once your router is connected, you want to strategically place the Mesh nodes throughout your house and yard. The nodes work best when set up sequentially. Your first node should have no extensive obstructions (multiple walls, floors, especially if they have more than just framing, insulation, and sheetrock) between it and your router. Once that node is set, your next node should have no extensive obstructions between it and your first node. So on and so on until you have placed up to four nodes.
Placing these nodes near exterior windows, exterior doors, etc., can vastly improve your network’s performance in your yard.
